About Our Instructors

 

Sensei Mark Roberts is school head of Honshin Kan Martial Arts in Santa Rosa.  He has been studying Danzan Ryu Jujitsu since 1994, earning his black belt in 1998.  He is a graduate of the Danzan Ryu Seifukujutsu Institute Modules I, II and III and holds the rank of Godan (5th degree blackbelt) in Danzan Ryu.  He also holds a Shodan in Aikido and has trained in Judo, Shorinji Kempo, and Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu.


Sensei Ken Gadbury has been studying Danzan Ryu Jujitsu since 1991 and earned his black belt in 1996 under his current sensei, Jeff Penner. He has been teaching at Honshin Kan since 1996. He is a graduate of the Danzan Ryu Seifukujitsu Institute Modules I and II and holds the rank of Yodan.

Sensei Bob Lindberg has been studying Danzan Ryu Jujitsu since 1996 and earned his black belt in 2000 under his current sensei, Jeff Penner. He has been teaching at Honshin Kan since 2000 and holds the rank of Yondan. 

Sensei Werner Armbrust has been studying Danzan Ryu Jujitsu since 2005 and earned his black belt in 2008 under his current sensei, Jeff Penner. He has been teaching at Honshin Kan since 2008. He is a graduate of the Danzan Ryu Seifukujitsu Institute Modules I and II and holds the rank of Sandan.
